First, I would like to say I appreciate all the hard work that has been put into the Turbotenant application. Saying that, I want to share an experience I had after I prepared an addendum to reflected a rent increase and I changed the amount on the lease property. Only to find out after the 1st, when the lease was due, my tenant was not billed for the new rent amount and the increase was not automatically changed on the billing side. Do you see a change coming to this in the near future when lease amounts are changed, the billing side will receive that change automatically and bill said tenant properly?
My potential leads states that after doing a screen report, their credit score dropped by 40 points. I thought Turbotenant was doing soft checks with TransUnion and shouldn’t affect their score. Leads are asking the Landlord why it’s not disclosed? Is it possible to add disclaimer etc. when they go for application process?
Product Feature enhancement: Is it possible to provide more status on the application process? Like when the applicant first opens the link, mark it as “Open”. When applicant starts filling out, mark it as “In Progress”. As a landlord, it would be good to get some visibility
i hope you can have online/call center service for landlords. As a landlord i am managing 15 properties and sometimes several tenants would call me at midnight because the water heater is not working and they saw roaches inside the house they would cuss me over the phone non-stop. I had to hang up on such conversation but i still have to keep communication with such “low-educated” tenants untill the lease ends up. It is very headache/painful to keep communication with such tenant and after i hang up on him/her they would keep texting me with bad words … and i still have to read through it instead of put her/him into block list. I don’t know how to handle such things. it upset my mood and very unhappy the whole day to read through their texts.
Is it possible to consider removing the “check in” emojis? At least give us the option? This is really unprofessional and distracting, as it is irrelevant. We already have to take in emotionally support animals among other things, no need to ask the tenant how they feel about paying rent.
Could you create a feature that allows the landlord to not accept rent without the late fee? It is silly that they have a choice, as they are late and they dictate the payment terms? I would also like an option where they pay the full amount only – meaning I don’t accept partial payments. If you are familiar with landlord laws in CA you can understand that if we accept ANY partial payment that the tenant decides it creates more issues as they have “technically” paid, and it is not helpful in progressive pro tenant locations to collect the full amount or move forward with evictions.
