Best locations for cash flow?

Lot’s of talk across the internet about “best places to invest” in rentals right now. I live in a medium sized city and there’s no way I could get a unit cash flowing if I were to buy. Are there any areas you recommend right now where the numbers work? I’ve heard places like Mobile, Alabama and Wisconsin thrown out there. I know there was some popularity among Tampa and Vegas for a while. Let me know what you’ve heard or if you have experience with better rental markets.
