Is Phrogging Real?

Has anyone ever actually dealt with phrogging in their rental? I always thought it was just a scary story people talk about that isn’t real, but I started reading posts about it online, and now I’m worried I should be checking my rental. What are the signs to watch out for, and how do you even handle something like that if it happens?
