Managing a remote property

After moving to Denver I kept my townhouse to rent out in Florida. Using software has really helped the process and day to day communication between my tenant and myself. Maintenance has been my only headache. I have had 2 calls in the last year, which I am thankful for, but I end up sending a handyman out and struggled with getting them in. Then after the work is “done” I am hoping it is actually “done.” I have yet to be burned but, how are other remote landlords handling maintenance out of state?
