Ryan – My biggest frustration with tenants is the difference in their cleanliness standards at move-in versus move-out. I’m sure any Property Manager understands and experienced this. We meet with tenants when they have given notice and practically plead with them to leave it as they found it. It almost never happens and we spend a couple days cleaning the place. Sometimes we deduct from their security deposit and sometimes we don’t. It’s just exasperating.

That’s interesting. So why do you deduct from the security deposit in some instances and not others?
