Did you Know? In the State of Georgia

Georgia landlords can demand the rent as soon as it is due and, if not paid, can file for eviction. The tenant then has 7 days to pay to avoid eviction. (Ga. Code Ann. §§ 44-7-50, 44-7-52).
For a tenancy at will, Georgia landlords must give tenants a 60-day notice to terminate the lease, while tenants must give a 30-day notice. (O.C.G.A. § 44-7-7).
Georgia landlords are responsible for all substantial improvements and repairs made on their property. If a tenant is injured due to known unsafe conditions, the landlord may be liable. (Ga. Code § 44-7-13, 14).
